Luiz Renato Leite leads the firm’s tax and administrative litigation groups. He joined the firm in 2000.
He is recognized for his ability to translate complex tax legal issues to entrepreneurs and executives.
As a specialist in tax law, Luiz has around 20 years of experience. He assists domestic and foreign clients from various sectors in direct and indirect tax matters.
As a consultant on tax-related issues, he participates in various corporate tax house committees, seeking the most efficient solutions for a wide variety of clients. Luiz also frequently works as a tax litigator, his area of specialty, where he protects the interests of clients in significant administrative and judicial cases. He also deals with Brazilian Individual Income Tax issues for expatriates in Brazil, giving assistance in individual tax issues and coordinating clients Brazilian annual income tax returns.
Luiz has also been engaged in compliance-related matters, , developing strategies to maximize compliance, educate the public, and conduct investigations. Luiz is able to coordinate on-site compliance monitoring: compliance inspections, evaluations, and investigations, as well as off-site compliance monitoring: data collection, review, reporting, program coordination, oversight, and support.
His track record also includes providing legal advice to Brazilian and foreign clients in relation to commercial contracts, real estate, and intellectual property.
